The best part of living in India is its diverse culture and region. We get to enjoy it in various forms including the entertainment industry which itself are widespread and extensive, with so many regional movies being made every year.

Whether it’s Marathi, Tamil, Telugu or Hindi cinema, there are some really amazing regional films which you should not miss and can easily watch online.

1)Parmanu

This is a 2018 Hindi action movie based on a true story of India’s 1998 Pokhran Nuclear test conducted by the Indian Army and the nuclear scientists, including former Indian President Late Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.

The intense screenplay of the movie does a great job showcasing the efforts taken by the entire army team, ISRO and the Indian Government and can be seen as a major reason behind the movie’s tremendous success.

This movie should be watched by every Indian as this event changed the world’s perspective towards our nation and it is indeed a proud moment for all of us.

Apart from the movie storyline, the actors especially John Abraham  did a tremendous job and this is one of his best movies to watch out.

2)Mersal

It is a 2017 Tamil action thriller film which was a commercial success and became the fifth-highest grossing Tamil film.

A very good storyline with a strong message, Mersal highlights the corruption that persists in India’s medical field while also shedding light on other social issues that affect India.

Thalapathy Vijay’s performance shines in the triple role of Vetrimaaran and his sons Vetri and Maaran. But the biggest applause should go to director Atlee who weaves an entertaining masala plot that leaves us contemplating.

3)Sairat

Sairat is a 2016 Marathi romantic drama film directed by National Award-winning director Nagraj Manjule. This film became the first Marathi film to gross over 100 crores worldwide at the box office.

The movie narrates the tale of a young couple in love from different castes and classes and how that difference doesn’t let them be together resulting in violence. It’s indeed an ordinary story but the way it is presented makes this film a must watch.

Many youngsters can relate to this as the characters, the brilliant cinematography and the simplicity of the story make it feel so real.

4)Badlapur

It is a 2015 Hindi crime thriller film starring Varun Dhawan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Yami Gautam, Radhika Apte and Huma Qureshi.

An outstanding performance by the actors with a brilliant script and heart-wrenching songs makes this movie a must watch.

The movie revolves around a happily married man, Raghu who loses his wife and son in a traumatic bank robbery crime. Since then, he is in search to find out the culprits who ruined his life and execute his plan for revenge.

This is the best performance of Varun Dhawan with his expressions, whether it was love, frustration or anger, leaves a big impact on us.

5)DJ (Duvvada Jagannadham)

It is a 2017 Telugu action film which revolves around DJ (Duvvada Jagannatham) Sastry, a regular Brahmin guy who just can’t tolerate criminals, despite his family stopping him from taking the path of violence. A police officer notices DJ’s potential and asks him to join as an undercover crime fighter and help in eliminating the criminals.

The film stars Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde, both the actors were good and Arjun’s swag and action scenes were a treat to watch. There are some hilarious dialogues and melodious songs to add a spice.
