I was going through my gallery and came across our stay at Ajmer & Jaipur hotel. I had not shared my experience about this place when we visited it a few years back.
Hence, I decided to write it now because:
- 1) It’s been a long I haven’t written anything on travel
- 2) To reminisce
- 3) Travel restrictions so no vacation.
However, as it’s been already a few years(2017), so many things must have changed over this place and I don’t remember each & everything. So just read it as a suggestion of a new hotel you might be interested to visit in the future.
We had already booked hotels online for Ajmer and Jaipur as it’s always hassle-free and money-saving. We had stayed 1 night in Ajmer & then went to Jaipur for 2 days.
Grand Xenia Hotel, Ajmer
Our purpose of going to Ajmer was for visiting the holy shrine- Khawja Garib Nawaz.
We had searched for hotels online and finally booked Grand Xenia as it looked luxurious and opulent.
Location: The distance between the hotel & the dargah is approx 5km. When we booked it, we knew the distance but didn’t think that we will have issues in getting transport. In the hotel area road, rarely any rickshaws or cab facility. Neither the hotel staff helped us in getting any transport. We had to rely on ourselves and had to walk further till we got transport.
Hence, unless you have your own transport, avoid staying in this hotel. It’s better to opt for a hotel close to the dargah so that you can frequently visit the shrine if you wish.
*Note: This was during our hotel stay in 2017. Things might have improved.

Room: We had booked a premium room. It had an amazing window view of the beautiful Ajmer city. I could spend many hours viewing the panoramic city view. This was the highlight of our stay. The room was hygienic and pleasant. It had all the basic amenities and modern equipment.
We had tried the hotel food and it was good.
The property is grand and the backyard has an amazing view of the Aravali mountain ranges. The ambience is serene & beautiful.
Cleanliness: Yes the room and the hotel are hygienic & clean.
Service: Average
Value for money: Average
Room tip: Choose a room with a panoramic hill view of the great Aravali ranges or the charismatic city view.
Hotel Mansingh, Jaipur
This hotel has an association with Club Mahindra. My husband is a member of Club Mahindra and therefore, we selected this property in Jaipur for our stay.
As Jaipur is known for its rich culture and heritage, Hotel Mansingh reflects royal splendour. It is a 5-star luxury hotel still a budget property located in the heart of the city, so everything we found was near and within the circle. The hotel was full of foreign nationals and we had celebrated ‘World Tourism Day.
The property is lavish and as soon you enter, the grand reception and sitting area welcome you. The lift adds glamour to it.
The architecture is splendid and makes you feel awe-struck. It’s alluring and magnificent.
They also have a pool to enjoy and activities like a puppet show, Rajasthani dance to entertain the guests.

I would love to stay at Hotel Mansingh next time I’m in Jaipur. For now it is better to stay indoors, at home only.
Good to read review of the hotel. Such posts should frequently come up as they help the folks to plan hotel stays accordingly.
Grand Xenia definitely has some beautiful views. But Man Singh is one of the places I’m going to on my next visit to Jaipur.
