The film is a sequel to the superhit 2011 film Tanu Weds Manu.

The story picks up four years into the marriage of Tanu and Manu who are now deciding to part ways and return to India. While Tanu is still unsure about her future, Manu decides to marry Kusum, a look-alike of Tanu. How will Tanu and Manu’s relationship conclude, and will they ever realize their mistake?

Kangana has done a double role, and the way she portrays both the characters with a distinct difference are commendable and the biggest highlight of the movie. Be it Tanu as the free-spirited, eccentric woman or Kusum, the macho and athletic college girl, Kangana has beautifully played both the characters and audiences could sympathize with both together without being confused.

Also, I loved the dialogues of the movie, which were quite impressive and made this a must-watch.

2) Bareilly Ki Barfi- 2017

It’s a story about a small-town girl Bitti, who after reading a novel, correlates with the protagonist and goes in search of the author who wrote this. This journey kicks off as a quirky love triangle that feels real, endearing, and hard-hitting at the same time.

If you enjoy watching small-town movies with fluffy romance, then go for this. Bareily ki Barfi has every element of good vibes which will make your heart flutter. Also, I liked the bonding of father daughter, which can melt even the hardest soul.

Furthermore, the movie has made all the talented actors come together, which creates magic on screen. Ayushman Khurana, Kriti Sanon, Rajkumar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, and other supporting characters have made this movie a memorable one.

3) Kedarnath- 2018

Kedarnath was a hit that catapulted actor, Sara Ali Khan’s film career along with ace actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The movie is set amidst the 2013 Uttarakhand floods which had shuddered the country.

It is an inter-religious love story between Mansoor, a Muslim pithoo (porter), who helps pilgrims make the arduous journey to the Kedarnath temple and Mukku, a beautiful and rebellious Hindu girl.

The cinematography is breathtaking, an added advantage of this movie. Even if you don’t like romantic movies, watch it for the awe-struck hills and picturesque view.

The director vision was to make the audience feel the agony and the emotional impact of the flood disaster through a love story interspersed with the human loss. So do watch it if you haven’t yet.

4) Anjana Anjani- 2010

Anjaana Anjaani is a 2010 romantic film, starring Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor. One of the best Jodi to watch on screen.

The story is about Akash and Kiara, two heartbroken people, who attempt to kill themselves in New York, but are prevented from doing so by the Coast Guard. They try again, but remain unsuccessful and destiny makes them end up in a hospital together. The duo makes a plan to kill them on December 31.

With twenty days remaining to their deadline, they live together and live life to the fullest because it is the end of their life journey. Will these 20 days change their life forever? Watch it to find out.

I enjoyed watching this movie due to its unusual love story and the power-packed performance of lead actors. Also, the film songs are mesmerizing esp. “Tujhe bhula diya”!

5) Cocktail- 2012

Cocktail is a 2012 urban romantic movie starring Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, Diana Penty, and Dimple Kapadia.

Veronica asks Meera, a new girl in the city, to live with her. Meanwhile, Veronica enters into a casual relationship with Gautam and he too joins in to live with Veronica. Together they all are happy and eventually turn out to be the best of friends until love struck them all and their friendship comes at a stake.

A love triangle story, but more about friendship and show us the relationship value. A very common, but beautiful story you will find in real life and learn how one can cope with such circumstances.
