Make-up is the most essential thing which everyone should own. It enhances your look, boosts confidence, and makes you happy.

I was never into cosmetics during my spinsterhood because there were many misconceptions around my circle of friends. We use to think, it will make our skin dull and drab. Further, we use to try a few makeup products during the festival, but it never glamorized us. To tell the truth, the makeup would make us look awful.

It was during the marriage time of my friend when we first got to know the magical effect of makeup. Her celebrity make-up artist just turned her into a princess with her makeup wand. Hence, I too hired her for my wedding make-up and the compliments never stopped.

After my marriage, I got interested to know about quality and affordable makeup products through social media. It was then, I started buying makeup products and came to know its importance in a women’s life.

Unlike my previous encounter with maquillage, these time it made me look pretty and beautiful.  Then I realized, if only I had gained or sought proper information, my makeup voyage would have started long before.

Anyways, it’s never too late and I shared this to highlight how much it is necessary to know correct things and not to be prejudiced. Now, I never step out of my home without makeup esp. for events or parties.

Today, am sharing the must-have makeup products in your bag. Also, I will be sharing the brands I use or recommend which will give you a charismatic look.

1)  CTM (Cleanser, Toner, and Moisturizer)

This is the basic thing to start before applying makeup so that your skin doesn’t look dry and parched.

Just cleanse your face, apply toner, and then moisturizer. Now you are ready to start with maquillage.

2)   Primer

Primer is an important first step as it acts as a makeup base which makes your look last longer. In simple terms, just the way, a wall primer has worked before applying paint, the same way the makeup primer does.

So do not miss this step. Only a small quantity is required and you will feel the softness.  I have used Colorbar primer for a long time and now using Novage which is equally up to the mark.

3)  Foundation

The right foundation according to your skin shade is important. It makes your skin look flawless and radiant within a few minutes.

Take only a little quantity on your cleansed fingers or sponge and apply all over the face. Don’t miss to apply around your eyes as it will fade the dark circles if you have any and also for the eye shadow base.

I would recommend Colorbar or Lakme foundation.

4)  Concealer

Concealer helps to diminish the blemishes, dark circles, and spots on our faces. So, it is a wiser choice to have this product.

I am using Colorbar concealer stick in cream form. You can select either liquid or cream as per your skin tone.

5)  Makeup powder

It comes in compact and loose form; a powder helps to set the makeup and gives a flawless look by removing excess oil or shine from your face.

Makeup powder works the same way the beauty powder works to give the best impression. Also, now many makeup powders come with SPF (sun protection factor) which is an added advantage of using it.

6)   Blush

All you need to do is smile and then apply blush on your cheekbones to get a glowing and attractive look.

Blush gives you alluring flushed cheeks and makes the face adorable. A little is enough for the glam avatar.

7)   Eyebrow product

I found a huge good difference after I started applying eyebrow pencil and brush. It gave me thick, full, and nicely shaped eyebrows which make the face look complete.

It is an important product than an eye shadow. One can skip using eye shadow, but not eyebrow pencil as it enhances the face structure.

8)   Lipstick

Well, no makeup can be complete without lipstick.  It is a must product to own. If you have dry or chapped lips like me, be sure to apply lip balm, let it get absorbed, and then apply your favourite lipstick.

Even if I don’t want to apply makeup, I use lipstick because it gives a pretty face.  I am sure many of you can relate to this. Also, it is affordable and comes in various types.
