My brother booked our stay at Ashoka Tree Resort through MMT, attracted by the reasonable prices and the promise of a fine resort not far from popular tourist spots.
Located in Tanggayuda, near Ubud, the resort is nestled in a serene location just 25 minutes away from the bustling Ubud market.
The Resort Highlights
Upon arriving at Ashoka Tree Resort, we were greeted by the lush greenery and the tranquil atmosphere that surrounded us. The resort is nestled in the heart of nature, making it the perfect place to unwind and relax. The lush greenery surrounding the resort was like stepping into a postcard.
Although the resort is a 25-minute drive from Ubud market, we didn’t mind as we enjoyed riding our two-wheelers through the scenic routes to reach the bustling market. Also, it’s a great option for those seeking for uninterrupted tranquillity.
Breakfast in Paradise
One of the highlights of our stay at Ashoka Tree Resort was the delicious breakfast served ala carte style. The menu offered a delightful blend of Balinese and English cuisine, all of which was incredibly tasty.
And the best part? Enjoying our breakfast amidst the majestic lush forest surrounding the resort was a truly unforgettable experience.
I had Nasi Goreng for breakfast and it was so flavorful! The next morning, I tried Mie Goreng and it was just as amazing. I ended up having Mie Goreng for dinner as well because I just can’t get enough of these delicious noodles!
Spacious Rooms with balcony
Our room at Ashoka Tree Resort was not only spacious, but also beautifully decorated, complete with a lavish bathtub perfect for a relaxing soak. The room had all the essentials and a cozy bed.
I particularly enjoyed the intricate carved gorgeous wooden doors crafted by talented local artisans (entrance gate) that gave the room a royal feel, and the balcony sitting area was a nice touch.
Good service
The staff at this property are super helpful and always there to assist us, whether it’s helping us organize 2-wheelers to explore the surrounding area or providing us with a mobile charging adaptor.
Acoustic night– The resort also organizes music session while you dine.
Greenery and Indian Cuisine
One of the unique features of Ashoka Tree Resort is its lush greenery and beautiful flowers that adorn the property, creating a truly picturesque setting. T
he resort also houses a separate Indian restaurant, where we indulged in a meal one evening. While the food was delicious, we did find it to be a bit on the pricey side.
