My friends have always suggested to not go for hair colouring as it has lots of chemicals and is not good for hair and that’s why I kept procrastinating. (It was long before because now everyone does hair colour or hair dye).
However, I always envied girls flaunting beautiful coloured hair, and finally, I decided to colour my hair for the very first time 5 years back just before my wedding. The second reason for colouring was the grey hair and I had enough of using henna, so giving my hair a new breathe was important.
It indeed gave me a refreshing look and boosted confidence and now for the past 5 years am regularly colouring my hair.
But as you all know, coloured and treated hair needs more care. Hence I make sure to follow a proper hair care routine so that my hair doesn’t get dull, dry, and damaged.
My hair care routine is simple and can be easily done at home. You don’t need to visit the salon and spend time & money. Just follow these easy steps and your hair will be grateful to you. Within a few weeks, you can see how your hair is protected and happy.
These steps have kept my hair strong and healthy. So whether you use hair dye or colour, start your hair care routine right away.
- Step 1: Oil your hair atleast once a week
- Step 2: Use gentle Shampoo
- Step 3: Do Condition your hair
- Step 4: Use herbal hair serum
Step1: Oil your Hair atleast once a week
Since the time of our granny’s tales, hair oil was always recommended for nourishment and if we have coloured hair, then this step becomes more important.
My hair became very dry and frizzy after regular colour treatment which is common; therefore, a good oil massage was a must to replenish nutrients and hydrate my hair strands. I choose Moha 5 in 1 Hair Oil – 100% Ayurvedic hair oil which takes complete care of hair & scalp.
Oil your hair the night before washing to restore healthy locks. Not only the hair will feel good but it also helps in peaceful-sleep.
Moha 5 in 1 Hair Oil is a mix of 5 oils – Almond, Argan, Jojoba, Rosemary & Coconut that promotes hair growth as well as takes care of my dry-brittle hair.
Step 2: Use gentle Shampoo
It’s time to rinse off that oil from your hair. Wash your hair only twice or thrice a week to retain the hair colour & maintain the smoothness.
Now the ideal hair care regime to protect hair colour and provide nourishment is to select the right shampoo.
I always choose sulfate-free shampoo to prevent moisture loss & fading of my colour. The purpose of these sulfates is to create a lathering effect meant for cleaning the scalp and hair, but it reduces hair natural moisture & oils and fades hair colour. Kindly avoid using such shampoos to prevent further hair damage.
I have recently started using Moha Sulfate-Free Herbal shampoo which is enriched with the goodness of 5 proven herbs like Green Tea, Argan, Sunflower, etc. which protects my hair colour and enhances shines too.
It is actually sulphate-free keratin shampoo, wherin Keratin helps to maintain lasting sheen & smoothness. This is one of the best herbal shampoos for hair growth & hair fall control.
All of the Moha products are cruelty-free, paraben-free, vegan, and have no harsh chemicals.
Let me tell you that Moha Sulphate-Free Herbal Shampoo lathers decent & manage to clean the hair in 1-wash, without any dryness. I and my sister both are using this sulphate free keratin shampoo and liked its beneficial results. It also retains your hair colour upto 50-washes & maintains smoothness and softness of your hair.
But do keep balance of usage of Sulphate-Free Shampoo & Regular Shampoo for clean and healthy scalp.
Step 3: Do Condition your hair
After washing the hair with the mild shampoo, comes the hair conditioner that will help to control hair frizz and nourish the strands.
A good, ultra-nourishing conditioner will make your locks soft and nourished. It will add shine and smoothen the hair.
I never miss skipping this step because it offers effective solutions to my hair & use Moha Hair Conditioner, enriched with Jojoba, Aloe & Wheatgerm for soft & smooth hair.
Step 4: Hair serum
Now, this is the final step in the hair care routine. Lock hydration & nourishment to your strands with herbal serum for smooth and silky hair.
I am using Moha Herbal Hair serum which is enriched with the goodness of Hibiscus oil, flaxseed oil & water lily to provide hydration and shine to every strand.
Texture
This natural hair serum ensures to provide nourishment and protection to your hair naturally. I must say it is the best hair serum for dry and frizzy hair.
I apply it to my damp hair after washing and it makes my hair shiny & frizz-free. Only a few drops of this Sulphate & Paraben free hair serum, instantly gives them smooth & manageable look.
If you are looking for a hair serum for frizzy hair, definitely give it a try!
These were the simple 4-steps for the Perfect Hair Care routine for Coloured & Treated Hair, however, everyone should follow it for a good hair day.
After all, we all want to boost our confidence by feeling and looking good and the hair is indeed the crown of our head.
