Things to Do When In Pune
Sharing is Caring:

Pune is known as the ‘Cultural Capital’ of Maharashtra and the ‘Oxford of the East’ due to its emerging IT hub and renowned educational centre. Pune being the Cosmopolitan city, ranked No. 1 in ‘ease of living’ ranking in the country.

Being my hometown I miss this city, it has so many things to offer from irresistible food joints to heart-melting landscape to soul-stirring historical monuments. Travelling around Pune has minimal distance to all famous attraction places. So even if you have less time, still one can explore a lot.

In my recent short home visit, I revisited some of my favorite places and some new, making me fall in love with the city again. Although there is lot of things to do in Pune, am sharing few of them if visiting the city for a short time like me.

  • Lavasa

It is one of my favorite places to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is around 65 km from Pune and approximately 190 km from Mumbai. Driving down is the best option to feel the pleasant weather and panoramic view.

This lake city looks like Venice and you get engrossed in it. Do try out tandoor chai over there. Although with time, the beauty has faded and also many shops have shut down, still, it is a good option to visit especially in monsoons.

Now there are parking charges also:
4 wheelers – 500Rs
2wheelers- 200Rs

  • Dr.Bubbles Cafe

It is located in FC road which offers flavored fruit teas and milk teas served ice cold or piping hot with cherry natural tapioca bubbles which look so attractive and cute. The photogenic ambiance from outside made us visit this outlet.

A good place to chill and enjoy sipping bubbles.

  • Kamshet and Kanhe

Near to Pune, it is the major attraction place for adventure and nature lovers. The picturesque location is a great weekend getaway especially during monsoons.

The famous Pavana Lake located here is popular for many activities and scenic view. Driving down is the best way to explore its beauty. Both the places are nearby and offer some good adventure rides.
